Bookings

What are the payment terms?

A deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking and the balance 30 days prior to arrival. 

 

Can I stay for 1 night?

​

Our minimum stay is usually 2 nights and 3 nights in school holidays. Occasionally we promote some one night stays - follow us on social media.

​

Do you post lost property back to owners?

​

Lost property will be forwarded only at the request, risk and expense of the guest. Otherwise the items will be stored for 1 month before they are recycled/donated to charity.

​

Are your Cabins wheelchair friendly or suitable for someone with restricted mobility?

​

We have fitted two of our lodges, Rosco & Snowy with access ramps and larger decking and communal spaces but we ask all our guests with DDA requirements to contact us before making a booking so we can go through the details.

Arrivals

What time is check-in and check-out?

​

Shortly after making a booking, we will email you with confirmation and details of our contactless arrival process. To allow us to carry out our full safe cleaning process, check in is from 3pm on your arrival day and check-out is 10am on your departure day. We are unable to accept arrivals before 3pm, unless by prior agreement. Similarly, if you plan to arrive after 7pm, please contact us.

 

What is the postcode?

SY4 1HY. On arrival, please enter through the gate and drive straight to the clearly marked car park area. 

 

Can we bring more than 1 car?

​

We expect you to bring 1 car if you are staying in a cabin and up to 2 cars in you are staying in a lodge.  If your group needs to bring extra vehicles or anything larger than a family size car, please contact us.

Can I charge my car?

​

Yes we have 2 new EV charging points - please contact us if you'd like to reserve a slot.

Cabins, Facilities & Location

Which cabins have hot tubs?

All cabins and lodges include a private hot tub. Due to enhanced cleaning, hot tubs may take time to reach full temperature on your arrival day. We aim to have them ready for use by 7pm, and kindly ask that guests refrain from using them until a member of the team has run through the basic operating instructions. 

 

Is there wi-fi ?

Yes, all accommodation has wi-fi and the password is provided with your booking confirmation. 

 

Are all cabins and lodges pet friendly?

We wouldn't expect you to leave part of the family at home.  Well behaved family dogs are welcome in all cabins and lodges. There is a £20 charge for dogs. For large dogs over 35kg, please contact us. If you have an allergy to dogs, please let us know in advance so the team can do an enhanced clean including Goji air purifiers.

What does the cabin/lodge include?

All cabins and lodges include hot tubs, bedding and towels (however we recommend bringing a large beach size towel for the hot tub). There is a fully equipped kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, and a BBQ/firepit (coals are not provided so please bring your own or ask team directions to the local shop).  The cabins have underfloor heating and all electricity and gas used during your stay is included.

 

Do the cabins and lodges have a fridge?

Yes, all of the cabins and lodges have  a fridge with a small  freezer compartment. 

 

What are the kitchens equipped with?

The cabins and lodges are all equipped with a hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, Ninja air fryer, dishwasher, kettle & nespresso machine with complimentary tea & coffee as well as crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. 

 

Is it possible to reach Riverside Cabins by public transport?

Yes and no. You can get a train/bus to Shrewsbury, then a taxi from Shrewbury to Riverside Cabins  (Around £14) 

 

What security is there?

We ask our guests to ensure the entrance gate is closed at all times. This gate is locked from approximately midnight until 7am unless requested otherwise. The site has cctv and is well lit.

Are there any communal facilities onsite?

Yes - 'The Nest' is our new roundhouse studio room, suitable for up to 20 guests. Ideal for a cinema evening, yoga or wellbeing session, it can be reserved for exclusive use during your stay (£80 per day 6pm-3pm). Please note it is not accommodation and guests should reserve a cabin or lodge for their overnight stay. 

'The Smokehouse' oak outdoor kitchen and terrace with Kadai firepit, Kamado Egg and 6ft BBQ can also be reserved for exclusive use during your stay when you have a cabin or lodge booking. (£80 per day 6pm-3pm). Great for groups and getting together with family and friends. Book online or contact us to add it to your booking.

 

Can I use the river?

We now have SUPs and kayaks available for our guests to use. The river is narrow but guests are welcome to bring rods and try their hand at fishing. Set up along the riverbank and enjoy a paddle or a dip in our natural plunge pool.

What can we do on-site?

Relax and unwind in our beautiful 10 acres, explore the riverbank, watch out for wildlife (including otters and kingfishers if you’re lucky), take a dip in the natural plunge pool, fish, or a toast your marshmallows down at the quarry firepit.  You are also welcome to arrange a private yoga, pilates or massage session at your cabin, we can put you in touch with local instructors who will come to you. Or a personalised wine tasting evening perhaps?

Please ensure that children and dogs are supervised at all times.

​

Can you decorate the cabin for a birthday/celebration?

Yes, if you would like to surprise someone, please send us any small banners, cards, gifts and we will put these in the cabin for you.

How do I arrange a massage in my cabin?

Out & About

What can we do nearby?

Voted best market town in 2019, the pretty centre of Shrewsbury is a 15 minutes drive with a great selection of independent shops, waterside cafes, eateries and summer festivals. Take a look at our See & Do pages for other ideas. 

 

Is there a shop and somewhere to eat nearby?

Yes the local farm shop is a 5 minute drive.The local pub offers a delicious take-out menu and the Pizzas from mobile “Pizza Box” are available on Friday and Saturday evenings in the summer.
